DuBois Concert Association Welcomes Celebrated Electric Violin Player Doug Cameron And Miss Pennsylvania To The Stage
DuBois, PA (Top40 Charts/ DuBois Concert Association) The DuBois Concert Association wraps up the 2010/2011 season with the extraordinary talent of Doug Cameron, international jazz (electric) violinist recording artist, performer and acclaimed arranger/composer. Courtney Thomas, Miss Pennsylvania 2010 and lifelong fiddle player, will be welcomed to the stage as a guest performer in this final concert of the season.

Amongst Doug's peers are luminaries such as Doc Severinsen, George Benson, Cher, The Allman Brothers, Dionne Warwick, Tom Petty, David Benoit and Lee Ritenour. Doug has released eight CD's over the years, along with live concert DVD's that present his wide array of musical talent, styles and tastes. His latest release, "Different Hats" has received enthusiastic praise and outstanding reviews.

"We are honored to have a musician of Doug's caliber play for our members and DuBois area residents. This has been a well-received season and having Miss Pennsylvania join Doug for the final performance will truly please our loyal patrons," says Bob Moline, Vice President of the DuBois Concert Association.

Doug Cameron's April 10th performance marks the third of a three-concert season that has long been the tradition of the DuBois Concert Association, dating back to 1911. The upcoming 2011-2012 season will boast three crowd-pleasing shows that include "Swing Machine" (Big Band music, September 18, 2011), "Southern Fried Jazz Band" (October 24, 2011) and the final performance will be ole blue eyes style vocalist "Steve Lippia" (April 22, 2012).

The DuBois Concert Association opens its membership season on April 5, 2011. Members of the Association not only enjoy yearly 3-concert series, but also discounts from three local restaurants on the day of each concert. Participating restaurants include the DuBois Diner, Luigi's Ristorante and Perkins Restaurant and Bakery. Reciprocity agreements with four area associations, Clearfield, Franklin/Oil City, Lewistown, and Punxsutawney allow DCA members to attend their shows also. Membership tickets can be purchased at the DuBois Concert Association office (814-371-3266). All concerts are held at the DuBois Middle School, located at 404 Liberty Blvd in DuBois.
