Irish Star Julie Feeney Brings Innovative, Classical-influenced Pop To LA's Bardot And Hotel Cafe
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Julie Feeney, the 'eccentric pop genius' who recently blew away packed crowds at New York City's Joe's Pub and Mercury Lounge, has been chosen by Chris Douridas to make her LA debut at a special KCRW Presents School Night performance at Bardot in Hollywood on March 28. Feeney, who 'towers over her contemporaries' (The Guardian), will then bring her dramatic mini-orchestra of piano, trumpets, strings, singers and sticks to Hotel Cafe on April 2.

Feeney is currently in the midst of her debut U.S. tour, far from her home in Ireland, where she won the Choice Music Prize for 'Irish Album of the Year' (Ireland's equivalent of the Mercury Music Prize). With a background in classical music and noted influences ranging from Philip Glass and June Tabor to Bob Dylan and Beethoven, Feeney has created a unique brand of theatric chamber-pop that the NYT's Ben Ratliff called 'charming, urbane, and dreamy,' which also aptly sums up her forthcoming album, 'pages,' available in late Spring.
