Young Dubliners Set For St. Patrick's Day Events
Santa Monica, CA (Top40 Charts/ 429 Records) Irish-American rockers the Young Dubliners are gearing up for another event-packed St. Patrick's Day holiday in Southern California. On the heels of their first-ever performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live they have been invited back this year and will appear on the March 17th show. On the afternoon of the 17th, the band will play a free noon concert in downtown LA's Pershing Square. Immediately afterward, the Dubliners will head south to San Diego to perform at the Shamrock Festival. The Young Dubliners finally return to Los Angeles on March 18th for a concert at the Key Club.

The Young Dubliners have recorded two albums with 429 Records. Their most recent album, SAINTS AND SINNERS, is filled with free-wheeling party anthems to politically charged songs to poignant, harmony-laden jams. The Dubliners seamlessly blend their trademark rock and Celtic influences and offer up a vibrant collection of songs bursting with wit and wisdom. Signed to the label in 2006, their first project, WITH ALL DUE RESPECT-THE IRISH SESSIONS, was their definitive and critically acclaimed homage to the masters of Irish song.

The Young Dubliners consider themselves to be ambassadors of Celtic and American rock. The band members' dual Irish and American heritage has always resulted in a distinctive and richly varied musical palette. The instrumental "Saoirse" featuring Kenny Wayne Shepard is a prime example of how the Dubs maintain a dual identity as both Irish and American songwriters. Says Roberts, "The title means 'freedom' in Gaelic and to us that means we have the liberty to take this style of music and push and pull it in every direction. We've always defied pigeonholing because our sound is the result of Irish and American guys coming together and drawing from a multitude of influences."

429 Records is a unit of The Savoy Label Group (SLG). SLG is the North American based division of Nippon Columbia the oldest music company in Japan. The Savoy Label Group has evolved into a Grammy Award winning and chart topping independent music company consistently outperforming competitors in key music categories as monitored by Billboard Magazine. The Savoy Label Group is led by Steve Vining and is based in Los Angeles, CA.
