The stars and the paparazzi come out to play for a gala music entertainment annual British event of the year, The Brit Awards. The stars of the music and movie entertainment are all dressed to impress, especially the ladies with their outrageous dress sense, waiting to reveal, more flesh than dress. The show is hosted by Cat Deeley, and other stars reading the nominations and winners of each categories.

Cat Deeley made a dramatic entrance on top of a giant champagne bottle, with a sexy outfit, top hat and tails. (grooowl!) The show opened with The Black Eyed Peas performing their hit song 'Shut Up' other performances from Busted performed their interpretation of the Undertones hit 'Teenage Kicks', Outkast performed their infectious hit song 'Hey Ya' and Beyonce, sang her No.1 single of last year 'Crazy In Love' very hot performance, one of the highlights of the show, the press are going to have a field day tomorrow. 50 Cent re-created his arrest at Heathrow for a dramatic performance. Another great collaboration was Jamie Cullem dueted with the hot and gorgeous young talent Katie Melua with a jazzy version of the Cure hit 'The Love Cats'. Muse gave a thunderous performance with 'Hysteria'. The odd performance of the show came from Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani & Missy Elliott, a collaboration of three acts, with their own rap version of Prince's hit 'Kiss'. The Darkness took the stage as the last live performance of the evening with 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' and 'Growing On Me'. They rock!!!

The Darkness walked off with three awards for Best Band, Best Rock, and Best Album. Dido walked away with two awards, Best Female, Best Single, so in all, Darkness and Dido are the supreme of British music, and of course I forgot to mention Busted they also walked off with two awards for Best Breakthrough and Best Pop.

Considering it's a British event, most of the performances were dominated by American acts, it's a crying shame, Dido was not performing at the event, considering she had three Brit nominations

The highlight of the show for me is when Duran Duran collected the Outstanding Contribution to British Music Award with a medley of their old hits - Hungry Like The Wolf, Ordinary World, Wild Boys. If there was a better group to get this award, it certainly had to be Duran Duran, their music has been the most outstanding British music over three decades and their greatest achievement to date and one my influential bands of the 80s, which I grew up listening to their music and their exploits in the British Music Industry.
