Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ New Ocean Media) Los Angeles, CA rock band Stealing Heather are only a few weeks away from shooting their new music video, an intense and emotional short film for the song "Can't See You". Frontman/Songwriter Joshua Aaron and his wife Carolyn came up with the idea of creating this film in order to help generate awareness of the domestic abuse epidemic plaguing our society. Stealing Heather has launched a campaign in conjunction with the website Kickstarter.com. Kickstarter is a website dedicated to helping fund creative projects. The video for "Can't See You" is the band's statement about the loss and hopeful preservation of innocence. Contributions to this project do not go without recognition. For each generous contribution made through Kickstarter, from $10 to $10,000, the band will show their appreciation through an array of gifts, like signed CDs, t-shirts, an IMDB associate producer credit, and even a private studio session with the band. The band would like to present the challenge for people that were affected by domestic abuse to think back through the events of their own lives, and help raise awareness about the signs of domestic abuse. The band's goal is to give people the information and help they need to escape these seemingly inescapable situations. Stealing Heather is discussing an alliance with the NCADV (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence) and will be donating a percentage of the proceeds resulting from the sale of both the song and the video on iTunes and Amazon to this organization. Almost all of the cast and crew are donating their time and effort, with some even coming out of their own pocket to make this vision a reality, but there are so many other hard costs involved.
