Stix Bones And The Bone Squad Live At The Paradise Theater
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Redwood Entertainment) Stix Bones and the Bone Squad will be performing live on Saturday, March 19, 2011, from 8:00 to 11:00 PM, at the legendary Paradise Theater's Jazz Night on the Grand Concourse in the Bronx.

Built in 1929, The Paradise Theater is the 23d largest movie theater ever to be built in the US and was one of the last entertainment 'Palaces' built by the Hollywood movie moguls of the 20s. Recently renovated, this historical landmark is under new management who are dedicated to the preservation of its grand style of Greco/Roman statuary, marble columns, gilded walls crowded with winged cherubs and cloud-bound figures. The grand winding marble staircase in the lobby is reminiscent of the finest European hotels of the past with enormous radiant crystal chandeliers suspended overhead which complete this truly breathtaking setting. Most recently the Paradise has hosted a number of first rate entertainment events including The O'Jays, Cedric the Entertainer, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Chaka Kahn and others.

On the heels of their recent successful Jazz Night at the Paradise performance in January, Stix Bones, again with co-host DJ Rafe Gomez, formerly of CD 101.9, will be hosting and headlining this March event at the Paradise. Stix will be performing with his band The Bone Squad, plus ';special guest' veteran Jazz guitarist David P. Stevens who's latest second solo CD, The Shedd, shines with his mature mastery of the instrument. And what can one say of Stix Bones? He is not only a great musician, but a consummate showman and entertainer as well. Yet "Mr. Pocket," as he is sometimes referred to by fellow musicians because of his impeccable timing, is an apt moniker. Stix will be performing tunes from his debut CD, Groove Like This, (and watch out for those drum solos!) along with his own interpretation of some known favorites. In addition to Stix Bones & The Bone Squad, Stix is currently the primary drummer for Soulfege, the internationally acclaimed group led by Oprah Winfrey XM Sirius host Derrick N. Ashong, who fuses a unique blend of Hip Hop, Reggae, Funk and West African Highlife; and last year Stix partnered with song writer/producer/guitarist John Turco to form the Back Alley Players and release their hit Blues album Beyond the Blues (2010), which features the chart topping hit "Nuttin' But the Blues."

Don't miss this opportunity to catch a live performance by Stix Bones and the Bone Squad which is sure to be an evening of soulful and heartfelt sounds rendered by this dynamic group of sophisticated and talented musicians.
