Princeton, NJ (Top40 Charts/ Schwartz Communications) Exclaim Mobility, the leading provider of mobile photo sharing and socialization applications, today announced that it has acquired certain assets and businesses of Didiom LLC, an award-winning mobile media service provider offering the world's first hybrid service for place-shifting and streaming music from home computers to mobile phones. Through this acquisition, Exclaim Mobility will extend its Snap Platform and portfolio of consumer mobile applications beyond photos and video to enable consumers to stream, share and manage music and audio between consumer electronic devices.
This acquisition further advances Exclaim's position as the leading provider of applications and services for sharing photos, video and music across consumer electronic devices, social media communities, UGC portals, print retailers and more. Didiom's technology will be integrated into Exclaim's Snap Platform, and will be used to create the upcoming Snap Music service in the second quarter of 2011.
"Through this acquisition, Exclaim is taking another step forward in delivering on our vision of providing users with the most comprehensive set of offerings for managing and sharing their photos, video and music, anywhere, anytime and to any device," said Jiren Parikh, president and CEO of Exclaim. "The Didiom technology will result in Snap Music, a key addition to our portfolio of media sharing and socialization apps and services for mobile consumers, and a wellspring of additional data revenue opportunities for wireless carriers worldwide."
Exclaim continues to build upon its success in the mobile app market, rapidly growing its paying subscriber base to more than 400,000 users. The company was recently recognized by AT&T's Developer Program with the Deliver Award for outstanding sales and marketing, and announced Snap TV, an application that will enable users to view and share mobile photos through Internet-connected televisions. Snap TV and Snap Music will leverage the soon-to-be released Snap MyLife UGC cloud portal, which will enable Snap TV, Snap Mobile and other upcoming Snap consumer electronic device application subscribers to exchange, share and update photos, video and music between their various devices and social media and content portals.
