Hip Hop Invades Black History Month And The Legacy Of Motown Records At The White House
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ B. Taylor Music) On February 24, PBS will present "The Motown Sound: In Performance at the White House." The White House describes the event as, "The program will include tributes to Motown's distinctive soul-infused pop music sound that solidified its popularity in American culture, and showcase Motown's impact on all music. The event will include legends from Motown's golden age and performances by artists from today, all in tribute to Motown's 50-year legacy. Performers include Smokey Robinson, Natasha Bedingfield, Sheryl Crow, Jamie Foxx, Gloriana, Nick Jonas, Ledisi, John Legend, Amber Riley, Mark Salling, Seal and Jordin Sparks with Greg Phillinganes as the night's music director."

Mr. Pete Moore will be in attendance at the Motown event at the White House and he will speak briefly on behalf of the Miracles (Claudette Robinson, who is going, Bobby Rogers), Mary Wilson of the Supremes, Katherine Schaeffner of the Marvelletes, Marths Reeves of the Vandellas, Otis Williams of the Temptations, Bobbie Smith of the Spinners, and Duke Fakir of the Four Tops, on endorsing B. Taylor and "Bridging the Gap between Classic Motown and Hip Hop". They have stated that they are "passing their torch to ensure that the Motown Legacy live on".

Additionally, Moore is introducing B. Taylor's new music video for his song "One Life to Live" which gives tribute to B. Taylor's time in the military and is the first music video shot in the historic USS Midway Aircraft Carrier. Moore would like to have Admiral Moynihan (top spokeperson for the Navy at the Pentagon) and/or Commander Bob Anderson head of Navy West Entertainmnet, who sanctioned the music video and are strong supporters of the B. Taylor project in attendance as well to show the military's support for Motown (over half of the legends of Motown were either in the military or have direct family members that were in the military).

The song/video is an inspirational piece about a mother telling her son (B. Taylor) about life. In the video B. Taylor's mother is played by Claudette Robinson of the Miracles " First Lady of Motown" and his grandmother is played by Beverly Broadus-Green (Snoop Dogg's mother).

B. Taylor was recently described by Fox and NBC as the NEW SOUND OF MOTOWN. Taylor was discovered by Motown Classic Legend, Pete Moore, charter member of the SMOKEY ROBINSON & THE MIRACLES and one of the Architects of Motown Records, who titled B. Taylor as "the Stevie Wonder of Hip Hop" due his extraordinary musical talents (Taylor plays four instruments, writes, performs and produces all his own music).

Taylor is the first artist since Michael Jackson to be endorsed collectively by Classic Motown Legends. He was recently honored by NBC and Fox for his new single, which honors the U.S. military, entitled, ONE LIFE TO LIVE.
