Superstar Kicks Off Tour With a Special Live Performance on Today's Episode of The Wendy Williams Show; "Love Faces" Video to Premiere on Valentine's Day on MTV, MTV.com & the "New Joint Of The Day" on BET's 106th & Park Songbook Entertainment/Atlantic recording artist
Trey Songz is proud to announce details surrounding his upcoming sold-out "LOVE FACES 2011 TOUR." The superstar will be bringing the music from his fourth studio album, "PASSION, PAIN & PLEASURE," to select cities nationwide, kicking off tomorrow, February 11th at New York's famed Theater at Madison
Square Garden. Songz plans to kick off the tour with a must see performance of "Love Faces" on today's episode of The Wendy Williams Show (check local listings).
Coming off of the No 1 single, "Can't Be Friends," which held the top spot at radio for an astonishing 13 weeks, Trey's third single "Love Faces" is already exploding at radio, becoming the greatest airplay gainer of the week, this week. What's more, the companion video for "Love Faces" is slated for a Valentine's Day premiere on MTV and will be featured as the "New Joint Of The Day" on BET's 106th & Park.
To top all this excitement, the opening night of the tour will also see Trey unveil two brand new billboards, both of which will live in "The Crossroads of the World," Times Square; one for his 2011 Roc-A-Wear "NEXT" campaign, and the other for his "So Kodak" campaign. Always known as one who aims to inspire and motivate today's youth, Trey is set to join New York City mayor, Michael Bloomberg, along with Viacom COO, Tom Dooley at a press conference to announce details of his involvement in the "Get Schooled" education initiative, which encourages Americans to improve education through both educational figures as well as social influences of the media.
All of this comes on the heels of a massively successful 2010 for Songz. The R&B superstar's fourth studio album, "PASSION, PAIN & PLEASURE," was released in September and debuted at No 1 on the "R&B/Hip Hop Chart" and No 2 on the Top 200, thanks to the success of the two smash singles "Bottoms Up (feat. Nicki Minaj)," and "Can't Be Friends." Both singles took radio by storm and reached No 1 at Urban Mainstream and Rhythmic stations, with "Bottoms Up (feat. Nicki Minaj)" securing platinum status in digital sales.
What's more, iTunes recently announced their "2010 Rewind" accolades, where "PASSION, PAIN, & PLEASURE" was named "Best R&B/Soul Album" and awarded "Best R&B/Soul Single" for "Bottoms Up (feat. Nicki Minaj)."
