New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Believe Digital Official Website) Believe Digital, the leading digital music distributor, has announced a number of major new content and strategic partnership deals.
Rdio and Simfy among those to have agreed content deals with Believe Digital in recent weeks and the company has also signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Australian digital music distributor Valleyarm, which will see both parties promoting the others products and selected music services in a number of different territories.
Believe Digital has signed a wide-ranging new agreement with Rdio which will see the unlimited, on-demand social music service offering Believe Digital's extensive catalogue to its users.
Rdio was launched by Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis, the founders of Skype. The users of this social music service can follow friends and people with a similar music taste, discover new bands and expand their range of favourite music. For a monthly flat rate fee Rdio offers both an on and offline music service that can be used on desktop computers as well as iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile 7 and Sonos home audio system.
German music streaming service Simfy has also signed a new agreement to make Believe Digital's catalogue available to its 1.7 million users.
Originally developed in 2006 by students Christoph Lange and Steffen Wicker to serve as a price comparison platform, Simfy now lets users access over 7.2 Million music titles, stream tracks and compile playlists across multiple desktop and mobile platforms.
Believe Digital has also announced an extensive reciprocal deal with the Australian digital distributor Valleyarm. Valleyarm will be responsible for the marketing and exploitation of Believe Digital products to selected music services in Southeast Asia and the Pacific region. In return Believe Digital will market and digitally distribute Valleyarm's extensive catalogue and products throughout Europe.
Valleyarm specializes in digital distribution, publishing and online marketing of music and video content. The company has positioned itself as the leading digital distributor in the Asia-Pacific region, selling to hundreds of online stores including stores Valleyarm has developed a unique Asia-In Asia-Out solution to capitalize on its strong network in the region, and provides digital music content, sub publishing and marketing services to both monetize Asian content outside of Asia while also acting as a gateway for Western content owners to monetize content within the region.
