Music for Relief and Causecast have teamed up to expand the program with an innovative, and rewarding new approach to fundraising.
DOWNLOAD TO DONATE v2.0 encourages people to make a one-time $10 donation to the continued rebuilding of Haiti via cell phone (text RELIEF to 41010) or through Downloadtodonate.org (https://downloadtodonate.org) (via credit card).
As a thank you, donors will receive a one year subscription to a growing catalogue of music donated by hundreds of artists. Inaugural tracks will be made available in January from artists including: ALANIS MORISSETTE, THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS, CARIBOU, THE CRYSTAL METHOD, EVEREST, THE GLITCH MOB, KENNA, KIMBERLY CALDWELL, LANGHORNE SLIM, LINKIN PARK, LUPE FIASCO, METRIC, ONE ESKIMO, SLASH, SWITCHFOOT, THRICE, TREVOR HALL and YEASAYER.
Donations received will go directly to nonprofit partners working to rebuild Haiti - Artists for Peace and Justice, charity: water, Music for Relief, Partners In Health, and The United Nations Foundation. The program will support the medium and long-term challenges of recovery, including delivery of food, access to clean water and sanitation, comprehensive medical care and rehabilitation services, as well as the rebuilding of schools for children affected by the earthquake.
