The Jetson Fleet was awarded TBT's Millerlight Soundtrack Artist of the Day back in October. TBT summed up Jetson Fleets sound, by stating They call it "party style hip hop," so you're probably thinking Beastie Boys, but in truth, they've got a jazzy, slick flow that sounds a little like The Pharcyde fronted by Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda, with a dash of Wu-Tang Clan thrown in.

About The Jetson Fleet
The Jetson Fleet is Tampa's hottest new up-and-coming artists, which features three surfer-dudes Thomas Gill, Jarrod Barefoot and Travis Hescox. The Jetson Fleet is known to bring a party whenever they perform, Their last show they packed this place from front to back, with local college students that came to dance and party. It was a wild night!" said Orpheum Owner, Dj Lazy. The Jetson Fleet recently played with nationally renown artist Cage, and will be featured Febuary 13th with Hip-hop legend Afroman.
All three members of The Jetson Fleet have an extensive background in many genres of music. Thomas and Travis began their musical career together 5 years ago in the rock group, Cannons, a group that gained a lot of notoriety across Florida. Jarrod is a career musician, singing and playing acoustic guitar 4 nights a week at local Tampa venues, which range from party atmospheres such as Crabby Bills and more relaxing Wine Bar settings such as the Cork, in South Tampa. At the young age of 16, with his acoustic guitar and electrifying voice, Jarrod won Tampa Idol, a contest between the best musicians in Tampa.
The Jetson Fleet was created in free style cipher circles at local college house parties. The three would entertain entire parties with their free style raps, At those parties, I realized I wanted to make music my friends could party to." Said Thomas Gill. Late in the summer of 2009 the three began recording their first singles in Thomas Gill's home studio. And from that moment The Jetson Fleet was birthed.
