NEW YORK, NY (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) - Rostrum/Atlantic recording artist Wiz Khalifa is proud to announce that "Black & Yellow," his first offering since signing with Atlantic, has been RIAA-certified gold, with sales exceeding 500,000 units. The single, which was released in September, has also reached No 1 on iTunes' "Hip-Hop/R&B" chart, as well as breaking into the top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 at No 10. To top all this, the remix to "Black & Yellow" featuring Snoop Dogg, Juicy J and T-Pain ships to radio today and will go on sale exclusively at iTunes on Tuesday, December 21st.

With "Black & Yellow" blowing up everywhere, the interest in Wiz is greater than ever. Google recently announced that Wiz was the third "Fastest Rising Query in 2010" on the popular search engine, just behind pop phenoms Ke$ha and Justin Bieber. What's more, the Pittsburgh MC has also been named "Rookie of the Year" by The Source, which landed him on the cover of their December/January issue, seeing him shoulder-to-shoulder with Hip-Hop veteran and fan, Rick Ross, who was named "Man of the Year." Last week, Wiz also delivered a show-stopping performance of "Black & Yellow" on BET's 106th & Park.

As if all this weren't enough, MTV News recently announced that Khalifa's blockbuster mixtape, "KUSH & ORANGE JUICE," made their "Top Mixtapes of 2010" list, alongside the likes of Rick Ross, Fabolous, Lloyd Banks, Cam'ron, and fellow newcomer, J.Cole. The mixtape, which was released in April, became an instant online phenomenon, skyrocketing to the top of the most-searched topics on both Google and Yahoo, and with the help of his followers, became the No 1 trending topic on Twitter.

Last month, the most-buzzed-about rapper in the game wrapped up his hugely-successful "Waken Baken Tour." The tour saw Wiz bringing his high-energy stage show to sold-out venues nationwide with over 90,000 tickets sold throughout the 62-city tour. After helping him reach over half a million followers on Twitter, 200,000 of Wiz's loyal fans tuned into an exclusive live webcast of his sold-out Washington, D.C. show via his official website www.wizkhalifa.com. All of this has led to Wiz' undeniable online presence, with close to 9 million profile views at his official MySpace page, as well as over 600,000 fans following him on Twitter. In addition to this, the rapper has nearly 2-million friends on Facebook.

Riding on the momentum of all these accomplishments, Wiz is hard at work on his Atlantic Records debut, which is slated for a Spring 2011 release date.
