NEW YORK (Blue Note announcement) - Blue Note Records have confirmed that 8-time Grammy award winner Norah Jones is currently putting the finishing touches on her second album in a New York studio with a planned release date of February 2004. "I really can't think about the success of last year," says Jones, referring to her multi-platinum selling debut album Come Away With Me. "I'm just focusing on trying to make the best music I can at this point." Veteran Arif Mardin is again taking up production duties, along with Jones, and guests on the record include Dolly Parton, Tony Scherr (guitar), Rob Burger (organ and others), Jessie Harris (guitar), drummer Levon Helm, keyboardist/saxophonist Garth Hudson, and jazz drummer Brian Blade. Norah Jones is due to start a worldwide tour in Europe in April 2004, details of which will be announced shortly.
