Earshot Media) - Pat Magnarella and Josh Landan, of music and action sports management company Pat Magnarella Management (PMM) and its PMM Sports Division, are pleased to announce the official launch of PMM's new Snow Division, which is headed by Romey Thornton. Star snowboarders Eric Willett, Shayne Pospisil, and Gabe Taylor join PMM Sports' roster of well-known surf and skate athletes.
A veteran in the action sports arena, Thornton brings more than 12 years of management and marketing experience to PMM Sports, having worked as a Team Manager with Silence Snowboards, as well as a Team Manager and marketing coordinator for M3 Snowboards, Planet Earth Clothing Co., and Adio Footwear. A passion for surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding led the Ventura, Calif., native to study Sports Medicine at San Diego State University, during which time he also ran the West Coast Collegiate Snowboarding Competitions. Thornton first became acquainted with Landan, an award-winning surf filmmaker, while working as a production manager for 411 Surf Video Magazine. The two met again when Adio Footwear sponsored one of Landan's film projects.
"Besides being a talented filmmaker, Josh really knows action sports," Thornton says. "He grew up in Ventura as well, which creates a very unique type of Southern Californian. When I heard that Josh was working with PMM Management, and after meeting with Pat personally, it just felt like the right fit. Pat has so much knowledge and experience in the music business, which has proven to be a great asset in the action sports business, so I am really excited to be working with both of those guys. I know the job and all the unique things that make an athlete besides raw talent - I recognize the entire package. I'm looking forward to signing more marquee athletes in the snow world and continuing to build PMM's relationships with the best brands."

Veteran music manager Magnarella created PMM's action sports division, PMM Sports, in late 2009, and announced its official launch with Landan as President in March 2010. Val Surf's Brandon Richards was brought this spring to head up the Skate Division. The company's roster includes Dillon Perillo, Taylor Knox, CJ Hobgood, Guy Mariano, Nate Tyler, Joey Brezinski, Mikey Taylor, Justin Eldridge, and Damien Hobgood.
