Music Japan announced today that
Utada Hikaru's concert on December 8 in Yokohama Arena, the first concert of her "WILD LIFE" shows, will be broadcast live around the world via Ustream. The decision to broadcast the concert live on Ustream is a response to the strong requests of overseas fans. It was Hikaru's strong wish for all her fans, not only in Japan but also overseas, to be able to enjoy the premium live performance this time. The Ustream live broadcast has made this possible.
The performance will be broadcast on two channels, one for PCs and one for smart phones. It will be broadcast from around 19:00 JAPAN TIME (GMT +9 - be sure to calculate your local time ) until it ends.
The Ustream live broadcast this time has been realized with the full cooperation of Ustream Asia.
Utada Hikaru debuted in December 1998 with the runaway hit single. selling over two million copies soon after its release, this single put the spotlight on Hikaru. More than 9.9 million copies of her debut album First Love were shipped domestically and abroad, a new record for the Japanese music industry and one that has yet to be broken.
In just three months, the number of followers of Utada Hikaru's Twitter account (https://twitter.com/utadahikaru) surpassed 300,000. Her latest album, Utada Hikaru SINGLE COLLECTION VOL.2 will be available on iTunes worldwide by the time of the concert.
