Whitney Houston claims Bobby Brown hit her

NEW YORK (Whitney Houston Fan Website) - Police are considering whether to pursue domestic violence charges against Bobby Brown following a complaint from his wife, Whitney Houston.

The R&B diva reportedly called police to the couple's home in suburban Atlanta where they found her with a cut upper lip and a bruised cheek. She told officers that her husband struck her in the face during an argument.
A police spokesman said that Brown had left the state on a flight for California before their officers arrived on the scene.

Brown served seven days in jail earlier this year for violating probation for an earlier DUI conviction.
