New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Death Incarnate Record) - A metal band in Colorado was officially banned from their contract with the music licensing agency AudioSparx because the band's "track titles and lyrical concepts are on the extreme controversial side."The agency did state that the band's production was "frustrating,"but subsequently re-iterated the offensive nature of the content stating their clients could be "easily offended by the extreme nature of [Dethcentrik's] musical and lyrical concepts." Band frontman Stefan "Dod Beverte"Klein, whose stage-name translates literally to "Death Feast"stated in a posting on his blog that the agency attempts to "cater to the mainstream,"and further states on being banned from the site: "I can't say I blame them."Stefan says the band was originally signed to the agency due to the band's "horror-themes and sporadic sound,"and will continue experimenting, and won't change style "solely for financial gain."He also says that he was congratulated within the same notification that the band was removed for being able to create such controversial material. Dethcentrik announced a new album earlier in the month, and they say the release is still on track for 2011.
