Alt-rocker Kirsten Dehaan 'Hell In A Handbasket Tour' Gives Power To The People And 'New Hope'

WOODSTOCK, N.Y.(Top40 Charts/ SirLady Records) - Inspired by the recent election, DeHaan decided to have an election of her own. Fans will be able to vote on www.hellinahandbasketour.com, deciding which tracks they want on DeHaan's next album.DeHaan is on the road headed to her showcases in Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee and stopping along the way to play acoustic sets of her highly acclaimed album 'Thorns on a Crown'(SirLady Records).

'Thorns was selected as Top Regional Album of 2009 which I consider a huge honor when you think of the type of artists that are living and performing here in Woodstock, Brooklyn and the Northeast. The album was a little ahead of itself because it has a social-political tone that speaks to the hardships of the economy and just now the entire country is really starting to relate. There was something just so raw about recording this acoustically. I'm excited to tour this time just me and my guitar, and get this out to other parts of the country.'

DeHaan will be popping in bars and venues in PA,OH,IN,KY,TN,NC,DC,PA,NY playing her soulful music that has garnered so much attention in the Northeast. The Tour Stops will be announced on the website and social media.

Besides playing songs from the current album, DeHaan will be testing out material for the fans to vote, determining which tracks wind up on her next album. 'I have a very large catalog of music that I have been writing over the years, I thought it is a great idea to allow the fans to choose, a vote that really counts, it will be interesting to see what is resonating'.
