New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Hadley Music Group) - Borzilova's newest solo album "Balancing Act" is a more stripped down acoustic treatment of her songwriting talents than her first release "Cheap Escape". She wrote or co-wrote all of the songs with the exception of the traditional Russian folk song "Rechka" which she chose as her final track. The album surfaced in the October Folk DJ chart at No 9 after having only been shipped at the end of September and Borzilova was No 8 in the October Folk DJ artist chart among some of the biggest names in the genre. (Judy Collins, Bob Dylan, John Prine, & Pete Seeger to name a few)

"Balancing Act" found Natasha in the studio with Byron House on upright and Arco bass (in between him recording and touring with Robert Plant) and Billy Panda on mandocello, baritone guitar, national, high guitar and electric and her former band mate Alexander Arzamastsev on cajon and percussion while she played nearly all the acoustic guitar tracks and produced.

She moved to Nashville as the lead singer and acoustic guitarist of the band Bering Strait, which was put together as a group of classically trained child prodigies in the late 1980's. Since then, Bering Strait had two CD releases on Universal South Records, receiving critical acclaim and a Grammy nomination for country instrumental of the year in 2002. The Grammy nod got the attention of 60 Minutes whose feature piece on the band aired three times. The public also became familiar with Natasha and her fellow band members through the documentary The Ballad of Bering Strait directed by Emmy Award winner Nina Seavey which chronicled the often tumultuous journey of the six talented musicians after they arrived in the United States.

In 2006 the band decided to go their separate ways realizing they had each evolved in different musical directions. For Borzilova suddenly being a solo artist meant an opportunity to re-visit the songs she had been writing just as her publisher, Hadley Music Group, decided to launch an independent label as a vehicle for her solo material.

While Borzilova has put touring on hold as she and her husband are expecting their second child in February, she looks forward to begin performing live again in late spring and through the summer of 2011.
