SEOUL (Top40 Charts/ INCOREP) -
Digital music technology company INCOREP today announced the official U.S. launch of its Vocoo social music platform, bringing its patented CP3 digital music format to the U.S. Market. The Vocoo technology has the unique ability to isolate the vocals from a song's background music track, allowing users to actively adjust the vocal volume of their favorite songs during playback and to replace the vocals with their own voices using their iPhone, Android or PC - all while maintaining the superior sound quality of the original music.
INCOREP this week was also named a 2010 Red Herring Top 100 Asia winner. The award honors this year's most promising private company innovations and technologies in the Asia-Pacific business region.
'We are extremely excited to introduce the Vocoo CP3 technology to the U.S. so music lovers can listen to, interact with and share their songs in a whole new way,' said Joe Seok, CEO of INCOREP and founder of Vocoo. 'As a former vocalist, I believe the ability to retain the original quality of the track - the way it was truly meant to be heard - while recording yourself from your PC or mobile phone is a powerful concept for any music enthusiast. It's almost like having your own professional recording studio.'
After conversion of MP3 and M4A music files to the new CP3 file format, users can actively adjust the vocal volume of their favorite songs during playback (any level from 0% to 100%), record their own voices over the existing music track, and produce user created content (UCC) to share on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. The patented Vocoo technology allows them to accomplish all of this without compromising the studio sound quality.
Joe continued, 'The first time you hear your own voice on a professional-quality music track is a thrilling 'ear-opening' moment. It's transformational.'
Vocoo's CP3 conversion technology is web-based and available on www.Vocoo.com, where users can currently register to receive 10 free converting tickets. CP3s can be played, controlled, and recorded on using Vocoo's CP3 STUDIO application, available for PC, iPhone/iPod touch and Android phones. Once recorded, CP3's are re-saved as traditional MP3's for listening using iTunes or other music players and mobile devices.
Social Music Platform Lets Users Customize Content
The Vocoo social music platform also provides unique online tools that enable users to add creative elements such as pictures and video to their music files, allowing them to easily create and share their UCC on Twitter, Facebook or YouTube. Vocoo's technology team continually monitors the U.S. music charts to ensure the hottest songs are available for conversion to CP3. More than 1,700 songs are currently available for conversion, with 5-10 songs added daily.
Karaoke 2.0
Vocoo allows music lovers to interact with and produce the highest quality sound files - a feature not available with traditional vocal removers or Karaoke music files. Vocoo's CP3 converter is unique in that this one-of-a-kind technology retains a song's original accompaniment, an achievement that conventional vocal removers cannot accomplish, while Karaoke music uses reproduced audio tracks, not the original.
CP3 Music Enhances Existing Developer Apps & Technologies
Vocoo's CP3 technology can also be easily integrated with other existing technologies to enhance the user experience. CP3 allows developers to customize songs in applications such as video games, next-generation karaoke, mobile music and ringtones and voice text messaging. The entire platform, with or without Vocoo's management services, is also available for license to music download or streaming music providers.
Vocoo executives will demonstrate this breakthrough music technology for the first time in the U.S. at the SF MusicTech Summit at the Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco on Monday, December 6.
