Wikkit Unveils True 'Ticketing Democracy' In Brooklyn Concert Featuring Qr Code Based Platform

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Wikkit Official Website) - Wikkit is pleased to announce an evening of great music at Cameo (inside the Loving Cup Cafe in Brooklyn, NY) starting at 8:00pm on Monday, November 15, 2010. Concert-goers that get their wireless tickets at Wikkit.com are entitled to free entry at the show. These 'wikkits' get sent to fans via text message and email-no smartphone needed.

'Wikkit was formed as a backlash against Ticketmaster and all of the other companies out there with huge 'convenience' fees,' according to company Vice President Alexis Hunt. 'With Wikkit, bands and venues now have a low cost way to do all of their own ticketing using just cell phones and fans pay virtually no convenience fees-it's true ticketing democracy.' According to Old Soul frontman Lincoln Schofield, 'the really cool thing is that any band or venue with an iPhone or Droid can take control of their ticketing, build their fan base and do it all for almost nothing.'

Wikkit also provides venues the ability to offer a food or drink deal linked to that same wikkit. 'Unlike location-based apps like Foursquare, Gowalla and SCVNGR, you can get a wikkit on almost any cell phone,' Hunt added.
