Vancouver, Canada (Top40 Charts/ Megatrax Music) - Megatrax Music has captured the excitement and quality of Bollywood with our new Bollywood Beats CD from 'The Scene' catalog of production music, thanks to some special tracks from composer Stephen Day. Day traveled to Mumbai and Chennai, India, to record 10 tracks on the CD, working with many of the musicians featured on the soundtrack to the Oscar-winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire.'

Says Wendie Colter, Director of Production at Megatrax: 'It's wonderful to work with such a talented composer who was able to go to the very source of the inspiration!'

Stephen Day has been composing, recording and performing Indian-influenced music around the world for the last decade. He's studied under world-renowned sarod master Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and also worked with hip-hop musicians such as Pigeon John.

Says Day of the music he's created for Bollywood Beats: 'I composed five traditional Bollywood tracks with orchestral elements. Bollywood film music is very joyous, very full, very rich. It has a lot of energy. The tracks feature live instrumentation and vocals, with big percussion. I also composed five Indian fusion dance tracks, which are more contemporary beats-Western, mixed with Indian.'
