Hollywood, CA (Top40 Charts/ Lon Van Eaton Official Website) - In 2010, thanks to the new CD release Come and Get It: the Best of Apple Records, Beatles' fans and the music-buying public has finally gotten reacquainted with the name of Lon Van Eaton. In 1971, Lon and his brother Derrek had formed a singing duo in their native New Jersey, when they were signed to The Beatles' Apple Records and recorded an album called
Brother (1973). The new album finds Lon & Derrek Van Eaton in good company, including
James Taylor, Mary Hopkin, Billy Preston, and Badfinger, with the track 'Sweet Music.' Now, nearly 40 years later, Lon is poised to launch a whole new form of interactive entertainment, called LIVIES - Live
Interactive Visual Immersion Entertainment Shows.
Housed in a dome-like surround-sound facility, the LIVIES concept will meld sight and sound with live performances and stop-action-video projection screens. In a way, it follows the path that The Beatles' highly-acclaimed Cirque du Soleil show, Love, has taken, which has been a trailblazing success in Las Vegas.
Flashing back to the '70s, what was it like for Lon to find himself in Abbey Road Studios with George Harrison producing, and Ringo Starr and Peter Frampton as 'session musicians' on his and Derrek's songs? According to Lon, 'Being signed to Apple was my first wish-come-true, and it was more than I could have ever imagined. George was incredibly friendly and easy-going to work with, and Ringo is always fun to be around. Furthermore, Abbey Road was a wonderfully creative place with several differences from other studios I had recorded in. The engineers and workers all wore lab coats looking like scientists. Derrek and I and Peter Frampton were playing guitars getting that layered 'Isn't It a Pity' sound when the session began. It was an incredible experience!'
Now that Come and Get It: The Best of Apple Records CD has put him back in the public eye, Lon Van Eaton has embarked upon a whole new entertainment genre as the Developer of this new cutting-edge multi-media-LIVIES Technology-as well as being the President and Managing Member of LIVIES LLC.
Currently, Lon and his business associates are seeking the right investors to fully produce this cutting-edge entertainment venture. Potentially, it will be launched in major cities across America. As Lon explains of the Livies phenomenon, 'Imagine a theatre of breathtaking high definition images immersed in surround sound. A theatre where live performances and film are projected onto awe-inspiring high def virtual realities. This is LIVIES Digital Theatre...and you don't have to imagine it. It is here: The first ever Live Interactive Visual Immersion Environmental Shows! LIVIES is a new transformational entertainment delivery system of unprecedented proportions. LIVIES truly immerses the audience in a 360 panoramic field that transports them into a dazzling new world.'
According to Lon, 'LIVIES follows the path of Cirque du Soleil and the first show utilizing this new technology is The Dance of Life. The Dance of Life is an epic story, delightfully humorous, beguiling and whimsical, yet portraying a poignantly serious message to bring the awareness of the need to take action to protect our world from further harm. 'My musical score for The Dance of Life, the exciting new environmental tale was heard by Joseph Eger, author of Einstein's Violin and creator of the Symphony for United Nations. As a result I became a delegate to the United Nations.'
'There is no precedent to compare with The Dance of Life,' he claims. 'We're all in it! It is an original, fresh, sometimes provocative, imaginative and vibrant journey. Not only is it in tune with the times, it inspires the times and invites the mind and heart to participate in a quantum journey. This fantastical musical is a celebration of life and joyous possibility.'
Speaking about the journey that has been his career, Lon explains, 'I continue to work to carry on what I loved and learned from The Beatles; the awe-inspiring attitude of hope, love and possibilities. Every word and thought we have contributes to the health or distress of our culture and societies, raising or lowering the energy! It is all in my new book Imagine a Better World.'
According to the talented Van Eaton, 'I have been truly blessed with three wishes. The first was when I wished for being with The Beatles after our album on CBS/SONY (Jacob's Creek). Then, I moved to Denver to do non-profit recordings and events inspired by George's Concert for Bangladesh. The next one is LIVIES!'
Known by Beatles' fans around the world, Lon is about to find a whole new generation of fans via his appearance on the October 2010 release, the Come and Get It: The Best of Apple Records album, and his revolutionary new LIVIES entertainment complexes.
