Miami, FL (TOP40 Charts/ The Long Island Music Hall of Fame) -- The Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHoF) is proud to announce its Third Induction Award Ceremony and Fundraising Gala, on Tuesday, November 16th, at the famed Oheka Castle in Huntington, NY. Inductees include star of the Latin music world Eddie Palmieri, who will be inducted by Grammy Award-winning producer Rene Lopez.

Eddie Palmieri is a nine-Time Grammy Award-winning pianist and bandleader. In 2009 his album "Azucar Pa Ti" was inducted into the National Recording Registry of The United States Library of Congress. Best known for combining jazz piano and instrumental solos with Latin rhythms, he has more than 50 years in the business. Other 2010 inductees include folk singer Oscar Brand, Carole and Paula from TVs The Magic Garden, jazz vibraphonist Teddy Charles, heavy metal band Dream Theater, classical clarinetist Stanley Drucker, hip-hop performers Erik B. and Rakim, classical composer Morton Gould, photographer Bob Gruen, jazz drummer Roy Haynes, rock keyboardist Al Kooper, music executive Steve Martin, gospel singer Donnie McClurkin, former WLIR program director Denis McNamara, legendary venue My Father's Place, rock singer Lou Reed, oldies girl-group The Shangri-Las and avant-garde saxophonist John Zorn.

LIMHoF will present the 2010 Music Educator of Note Award to Laurence Ballereau and the 2009 Award to the family of the late Joseph Sugar.

Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHOF) is a 501(c)(3) museum and membership organization dedicated to the idea that Long Island's musical heritage is an important resource to be celebrated and preserved for future generations. The organization defines Long Island geographically as Kings, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk counties. The Hall of Fame sponsors the Long Island Sound Award (LISA), traveling educational exhibits, and a scholarship program. It is also creating a museum home where the story of the Island's musical heritage will be told.
