New York, NY (TOP40 Charts) -- Nationally recognized jazz vocalist and Woodstock resident Terry Blaine, along with acclaimed clarinetist Allan Vache, will present in concert a tribute to Benny Goodman on Sunday, November 14 at Olin Hall Theater on the campus of Bard College in Annandale. The concert will begin at 3:00p.m., and will benefit the music therapy program at Hospice, Inc. The not-for-profit agency provides comprehensive medical and counseling services to terminally ill patients and support programs to their families throughout Dutchess and Ulster counties.

Blaine has enjoyed a multi-faceted career, including live performances, recordings, studio work, TV and radio shows, songwriting and production. Her unique interpretations of classic jazz standards have brought her international attention and recognition as one of the few contemporary female jazz singers performing the small-band swing material from the 1930s.

Blaine's collaboration with classic jazz pianist Mark Shane, which began as a three and a half year duo engagement at Cafv Society in Greenwich Village, led to the CD "Whose Honey Are You," a Jazz Journal International Record of the Year. Their shows have included, among others, "Swingin'- The Benny Goodman Songbook" and spotlights the many female vocalists who sang with Goodman. Included in the November 14th concert will be Vache, who has received permission from the Goodman estate to present "A Goodman Centennial Tribute Concert" which began performances in 2009. Currently, Vache is featured in some of the background music for the HBO series on the beginning of gambling casinos in Atlantic City which debuts this Fall.
