Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ Cinemedia Promotions) - La-La Land Records proudly announces the release of the Mirrors 2 -Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on October 29, 2010. Composer Frederik Wiedmann (The Hills Run Red, Return to House On Haunted Hill) wrote the original music.

Frederik Wiedmann began his film music studies in Boston at Berklee College of Music where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Film Scoring (Suma Cum Laude) in 2004. That same year he earned the BMI Film Scoring Award 2004. He began working for composer John Frizzell (Office Space, Alien Resurrection) as orchestrator, score mixer, arranger, programmer and eventually as co-producer and co-composer. Credited on the Defiance, Ohio soundtrack as 'the guy who keeps it together,' Wiedmann has continues to work with Frizzell on upcoming films like Legion and Whiteout while making a name for himself composing for films like Return to House on Haunted Hill and Cyrus. Two previous soundtracks recordings by Wiedmann have been released commercially, Return to House On Haunted Hill and The Hills Run Red.

Inside the mirrors...the dead live on...waiting for vengeance. When a young woman is brutally murdered in front of a mirror that is a portal to the world of the undead, her spirit goes on a murderous rampage. One by one, she stalks the men and women responsible for her horrific death, exacting bloody revenge by dismembering and eviscerating the guilty. They can't run... They can't hide... They can't look in the mirror!

Directed by Victor Garcia, Mirrors 2 is he sequel to 2008's Mirrors, the film stars Nick Stahl, William Katt, and Emmanuelle Vaugier. When Max (Stahl), who is recovering from a traumatic accident, takes a job as a nighttime security guard, he begins to see visions of a young mysterious woman in the store's mirror.

"When Victor Garcia and I met to talk about Mirrors 2, we quickly figured out that we will need a very thematic score,' described Wiedmann. 'So I started immediately drafting themes for our characters.'

'What you hear in the score is what we felt was the most successful approach to support the beautiful images that Victor captured, as well as the drama, tension and horror,' said Wiedmann. He utilized a mid-size orchestra with two vocalists, to create the music. 'The vocals within the score represent the missing girl, and her calling from beyond.'

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment presents Mirrors 2, available on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 19, 2010. The Mirrors 2 - Original Soundtrack on La-La Land Records will be available in stores and at www.lalalandrecords.com on October 19, 2010.
