
Nashville/Music City, TN (Top40 Charts/ Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau) - The Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) just added another incentive to submit a song to the 'Music City Songwriting Competition.' All songs that are submitted or postmarked on Oct. 19th will be reviewed by Scott Hendricks, renowned Nashville producer, hit-maker and Senior Vice President of A&R for Warner
Music Nashville. Additionally, all of those who enter on Oct. 19th will receive a copy of Original Songwriter Demos Volume 2 which include classics like,
Tim McGraw & Faith Hill's "
It's Your Love" (Stephony Smith), John Michael Montgomery's "
I Swear" (Gary Baker, Frank Meyers) and Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take the Wheel" (Hillary Lindsey, Gordie Sampson,
Brett James). Volume 1 will be given to artists who make the Top 25.

The winning songwriter, who will be announced on January 5th, will receive a $1,000 cash prize and two roundtrip Southwest Airline tickets to Music City. While in town, the winner will receive a one-hour mentoring session and autographed CD from Curb Records recording artist Rodney Atkins, will be interviewed on GAC as well as Sirius XM's 'Music Row Happy Hour with Storme Warren' and have their winning song played on Sirius XM Radio's 'Music City Connection: Heroes Behind the Hits,' a monthly radio show recorded and produced by the Nashville CVB. In addition, the winner will also receive a writing session with a professional songwriter, an Epiphone Masterbuilt Acoustic guitar and a pair of Durango boots.
Everyone who enters the Music City Songwriting Competition will receive a copy of Rodney Atkins' newest CD, It's America, and the 25 finalists will also receive a certificate of recognition and a Music City Gift bag which includes a copy of the book 25 Notes for the Successful Musician: The Ultimate Guide to Making it in the Music Industry by Chad Jeffers and a copy of Warner Music Nashville's original CD series - Original Songwriter Demos - Volume 1.
