Coldwater Canyon Band Earns A Hollywood Music In Media Award Nomination For Their Hit Single 'Nobody Knows'

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ LUCK Media & Marketing) - Rockin' Los Angeles based country group Coldwater Canyon Band has been stirring up the music scene since the release of their latest album Just Getting Started, with the lead-off single 'Nobody Knows' into the Top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Sales Chart, without major label backing. Things just got even more exciting with word of their Hollywood Music In Media Award nomination for Best Country Song for the hit single.

The Hollywood Music In Media Awards will take place on November 18 at The Highlands located in the Kodak Theater Complex/Hollywood & Highland Center. The HMMAs recognizes and honors the music of visual mediums, the talented individuals responsible for it, and the music of both mainstream and independent artists from around the globe.

Coldwater Canyon Band recently taped an episode of 'Indie Style,' an Atlanta based TV show about up and coming stars and entrepreneurs, featuring a performance of 'Nobody Knows'. The episode will air on October 16 and on October 23 at 9 p.m. Eastern on Comcast Cable Channel 23 in Atlanta or On-Demand. Video of the appearance will also be available at www.indiestyletv.com.

Coldwater Canyon Band will also appear on the Veterans Day Virtual Telethon, which raises money for various veterans groups around the country, on November 6 at 2 p.m. Their 30-minute set will include 'Piece of Mind' and their hit single 'Nobody Knows'. Kountreeboyz Entertainment CEO Thomas Goodin will also appear. Coldwater Canyon Band recently pledged to donate 50 percent of proceeds from their touching song 'Piece of Mind' to VeteranAid.org.

Frontman Howie Vaughn's unique hybrid has been a sensation at country radio since the release of Coldwater Canyon Band's 2008 debut Rollin'. Their first single 'Country Girls' rose to No 15 on the Billboard Hot Singles Chart (indicating great crossover success). 'Nobody Knows' reached the Top Ten on the Hot Singles chart and No 2 on the Billboard Country Singles Chart. The track is also getting major airplay via online outlets like the country channel on Music Choice.
