LOS ANGELES (Alternative online magazine) - Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland was arrested early on Monday morning on D.U.I. charges after losing control of his car and smashing into a parked car in Hollywood.
The singer then attempted to flee the scene of the crash, but was apprehended by police, an LAPD spokesman said. He had recently completed most of the drug testing and counseling that had been required of him after pleading no contest to drug possession charges in August.
Weiland now faces a arraignment on the new charges on November 17th. The new DUI incident took place on the singer's 36th birthday.
