Eddie Vedder mourns a friend

NEW YORK (Alternative magazine) - On April 20th 2002, Eddie Vedder learned of the death of his friend Layne Staley of Alice in Chains.
That night Vedder locked himself in the studio and wrote a song called "4/20/02".

At the time the ode to the late singer was deemed too personal and pointed for the Pearl Jam "Riot Act" record but now the song has found a home.
"4/20/02" will be included as a bonus track on Pearl Jam's upcoming double-disc rarities collection called "Lost Dogs" due in stores Nov.11th.
