Brent was recently a guest on Mississippi Public Broadcasting where she dazzled host Karen Brown with her signature laugh and tales from her excellent new CD 'Ain't Got No Troubles (9/7, Yellow Dog Records): https://bit.ly/a66voQ Garden & Gun magazine calls Brent's new record "fantastic...onstage, she's a dynamo, pounding the keys while she sings and hollers like she's straight out of a juke joint." The Wall Street Journal calls Brent "a force to reckon with...aggressive, sultry, hot and cool." Fellowships are awarded to artists dedicated to the celebration of Mississippi's cultural heritage.
