Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros To Hit The Road

NY (Top40 Charts) - Ex-Clash singer-songwriter Joe Strummer has booked a 17-date U.S. tour, starting October 4 in Washington D.C.'s 9:30 Club in support of his new album, Global A Go-Go. The jaunt runs through October 25, closing with a four-night stand at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, California.

Strummer told about the recording of Global A Go-Go, "The biggest obstacle to doing the record was really trying to record it before the paperwork had gone through. So that, in other words, I was borrowing time off the studio manager with vague promises about, 'The check is in the post.' And sometimes I got a bit of stress off, that is, 'How long could I keep that ball bouncing before my bluff was called?' But we got to the end and the paperwork came through, but I was getting stress sometimes. yeah."
