Franklin, TN (Top40 Charts/ Naxos Records) - Beginning July 1, 2010, Naxos welcomes two new labels to its roster of distributed labels: Newton Classics (www.newtonclassics.com) and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) (www.rpo.co.uk).

Founded in 2009 by the former Vice President of A&R and international marketing for EMI Classics, Theo Lap, the Dutch-based label Newton Classics is devoted to landmark recordings made from 1950-2000. July release highlights include a collection of French songs performed by the renowned French baritone Gerard Souzay; an all-Gershwin disc featuring duo-pianists Katia and Marielle Labeque; and a recording of the Choir of King's College, Cambridge performing works by Thomas Tallis. Other featured recordings include performances by conductors Sir Neville Marriner, Charles Dutoit, Karl Munchinger, Seiji Ozawa; and pianists Jorge Bolet, Alicia de Larrocha, and Stephen Kovacevich.

Naxos of America also begins distribution for one of the UK's most prodigious orchestras, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO). RPO enjoys an international reputation for bringing audiences worldwide first-class performances and the highest possible standards of music-making across a diverse range of musical repertoire. This was the vision of the Orchestra's founder Sir Thomas Beecham, whose legacy is maintained today as the Orchestra thrives under the exceptional direction of its new Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, Maestro Charles Dutoit. Frequently found in the recording studio, the Orchestra records extensively for film and television as well as for all the major commercial record companies.

Headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville, Naxos of America is the No 1 independent classical music distributor in the U.S. Specializing in state-of-the-art distribution, marketing and promotion, Naxos of America distributes nearly 20,000 SKUs to traditional brick and mortar retail, as well as offering a comprehensive suite of services tailored to consumer direct fulfillment. Naxos of America is also the largest digital distributor of independent classical music, supplying a catalog of over 25,000 albums to hundreds of digital download and mobile outlets worldwide. Naxos of America offers marketing, e-marketing, publicity, e-publicity, physical and digital e-commerce services, licensing opportunities, streaming services, sales and customer service for all new releases and active catalog titles of Naxos Records and more than 100 distributed labels.
