New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Cinemedia Promotions) - Silva Screen Records presents the original television soundtrack for The Prisoner Starring Patrick McGoohan, available digitally on June 29, 2010. The Prisoner lasted for 17 episodes and its TV debut in 1967 caused a storm of protest amongst audiences who 'didn't get it'. Over the last 35 years The Prisoner has acquired a Cult status and is today celebrated for being innovative and ahead of its time.

Composed by Ron Grainer (Dr Who, Tales of the Unexpected), the distinctive theme tune appears on all three Prisoner discs with the music for the series presented in episode order for the first time. Awash with

the eclectic sounds of the sixties the soundtrack for The Prisoner consists of cues written for the series plus a wide variety of styles of library tracks covering military band marches, experimental electronica, psychedelia and lounge.

Featuring the original artwork, The Prisoner - File No 1, No 2 and No 3 discs are available from Silva Screen in conjunction with Carlton.
