LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Sony Music Entertainment UK) - As you may be aware, there has been some speculation in the press regarding the possibility that Susan may perform for the pope during his visit to the UK in September this year. The Catholic church recently released this statement:

'We expect Susan Boyle will participate in the programme being organised for Pope Benedict's visit to Scotland.
Susan has expressed her desire to perform for the Pope and Cardinal O'Brien has asked her to be part of the event in Bellahouston Park in Glasgow.
Negotiations are continuing to determine exactly what form her contribution will take'.

Currently there is nothing more to add to this statement as nothing is yet confirmed.
