 Mumbai, India(Top40 Charts/ NCPA) - The Symphony Orchestra of India Will Play at the Grand Finale of the Fifth Festival off World's Symphony Orchestras in Russia,on the Occasion of Day of Russia India's first fully professional orchestra - The Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI) will make its international debut at the Fifth Festival of the World's Symphony Orchestras (FFWSO) with a performance of Beethoven's 9th Symphony on June 11, 2010, at the Hall of Columns, Moscow. Maestro Alexander Anissimov will conduct the SOI and the State Russian chorus from Sveshnikov with soloists from Big and Mariinsky Theatres. The SOI has been created by the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA), India's premier art and culture institution which is based in Mumbai, and is comprised of talented musicians from different nationalities. Khushroo Suntook, Chairman, NCPA, says, "The SOI is proud to be invited to perform Beethoven's 9th Symphony in one of the music capitals of the world - Moscow. It is an honour for an Indian orchestra to be invited to a country known world over for its contribution to Western Classical Music." It's a breakthrough for the SOI that in a short span of four years since its inception, it has been invited to debut on a platform (FFWSO) which has been graced by some of the greatest orchestras of the world. SOI Music Director Marat Bisengaliev feels this concert is the perfect international introduction for the SOI. "Russia is a highly competitive market for any musician or orchestra. Moscow is known for its high standard of concerts and the Hall of Columns is one of its jewels. This performance will open up a host of opportunities for the SOI for tours and sound recordings all over the world," he says.
