NEW YORK (Jay-z Fans Website) - Tickets for Jay-Z's benefit concert scheduled for November 25 at Madison Square Garden in New York City sold out in less than eight hours after going on sale on Saturday (September 27), according to his fan website. Proceeds from the benefit will be split by the Hip Hop Summit Action Network and Jay-Z's Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund. Jay-Z will release his last full-length album, the Black Album, on Friday (November 28). The set will be produced by Rick Rubin, Just Blaze, and Kanye West, and will feature no collaborations with other rappers. Recently Jay-Z told fans website why he chose to release his last album on Black Friday. "It just fit like you know some things just fit with the overall... like the Black Book, the Black sneaker, the Black Album, it was a Black Friday in November," Jay said. "I usually drop around November. It just made sense." In addition to the Black Album, Jay-Z will also be releasing his autobiography, the Black Book, next spring. The book will be co-written by the rapper and journalist Dream Hampton. The rapper is also slated to release a black version of his Reebok S. Carter sneaker.
