LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) - Alanis Morissette announced yesterday on Facebook/Twitter Monday (June 7) that she's tied the knot and married her boyfriend Mario Treadway, aka singer/rapper Souleye, over the weekend.

Alanis wrote the following message on her Twitter page:
"Hi guys! So happy to share with you that my man Souleye and I got married. We're very excited to embark on this journey with each other... Sending love... connect soon xo Alanis"

Alanis and Souleye reportedly wed at their L.A. home on May 22, a week before Alanis's 36th birthday. A handful of close friends and family members witnessed the nuptials, which were said to be extremely emotional.

It is the first marriage for the couple. Alanis Morissette was previously engaged to actor Ryan Reynolds.

A few times over the past few years, Morissette has indicated that she'd like kids. "I always imagined having kids in my late 30s," she told People in 2008. "I'm in no rush."
But if and when any kids arrive, one place we probably won't see them is onstage. "I think a child in the entertainment industry is a form of child abuse," Morissette told Contact Music last year. "If my kids want to do it, there might be school activities that I would support them participating in, but in terms of becoming a workaholic at that age I will be disallowing."
