WHAT:
A networking conference and expo that creates an environment in which an effective coalition of South Florida's Jazz businesses and organizations will gather with the goal of empowering Jazz in the area.

The SFJS will feature educational panel discussions, performances by area professional musicians and school ensembles, seminars and workshops on various topics relating to the music and the business, plus the State of Jazz inaugural address by a distinguished keynote speaker.

This event will benefit the Jazz Museum of Florida, Inc. - a not-for-profit endeavor that seeks to establish a physical venue that would serve as a museum in the area to celebrate Jazz.

WHO:
The SFJS encompass all Jazz related enterprise, from musicians to promoters, from restaurants to club owners, music schools to music stores, photographers to painters; and most important: our aspiring Jazz artists. SFJS will be all inclusive; anyone related to the Jazz industry is welcomed to attend and participate.

MISSION:
Pursuant to the preservation, promotion, education and advancement of Jazz, a unique American Artform: The mission of the South Florida Jazz Summit is to empower everything "Jazz" in the area; thereby, serving as a cultural bridge-bringing together people from the Jazz community to network, education and celebrate Jazz; helping to energize the local Jazz scene; bringing awareness to area Jazz institutions; showcasing the best emerging young Jazz talent from great area schools, as well as helping to empower South Florida as a world class destination for live Jazz.
