Eureka Springs, AR (Top40 Charts/ Eureka Springs Blues) - Early believers at radio are already embracing the first single, dropping May 28th, off of Supergroup Five Points yet to be released record - and the film and music industry are buzzing about the up-and-coming band. Something must be said of the appropriateness of the song tittle "
Never Letting Go" from a group that refuses to quit, no matter the circumstances, and many industry insiders are taking notice. As Five Points continues pre-production of the serial documentary, Road Pigs, a continuation of documentary film
State Of Rock, they remain the focal point of each movie's evolving, true to life storyline..
"(U)nique, completting and LONG ovedue. A sobering eye opener for any music lover who really has no concept, and until now, no window into one of the most imposing hurdles every group must face on their way to success." - Ron St. Germain on State of Rock, Record Producer (311, Tool, Soundgarden, Creed, Sonic-Youth, Bad Brains)
That window into the music industry will be available this fall worldwide via director Anthony Arkin's full length documentary, State of Rock. The doc is not a story just of this band's road to success, but of the trials all artist face on their roads to their dreams. Six years of filming goes into this story of a band reinventing themselves and moving forward in a new form, and as a new band.
Five Points had the first casting call last month at Don Hills in New York for Road Pigs. One hundred hopefuls showed up to meet with the band and test shoot at the venue, where they collected comp cards and tear-sheets and conducted interviews. All roles have not yet been cast, and the band is still accepting applications. Please contact them via their myspace for more information on openings. www.myspace.com/5pointsrock Filming will be shot around their NASCAR appearances and highly anticipated Supercharger Tour dates this summer.
"Never Letting Go" will be available for download on iTunes and most of the other cool places music is sold at the end of this month.
