New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) - Summit Entertainment, Chop Shop Records and Atlantic Records have announced the release of "THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK," the musical companion to the highly anticipated third installment in Summit's film franchise. Due in stores and online June 8th, the entire soundtrack features songs that will appear in the movie, highlighted by Muse's brand new single "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)." THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is slated to open in theatres nationwide on June 30th.

"ECLIPSE" marks the third Twilight soundtrack British rock trio Muse has been a part of. The band's "Supermassive Black Hole" appeared on the "TWILIGHT" soundtrack, and for the "NEW MOON" soundtrack, the group contributed "I Belong To You (New Moon Remix)." Exclusive to "ECLIPSE," "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)" will be available to download and the soundtrack available for pre-order on iTunes beginning Monday, May 17th.

Author Stephenie Meyer counts herself as a huge fan of Muse as well, acknowledging them in her novel, Eclipse. Meyer exclusively unveiled news of Muse contributing the first single from the "ECLIPSE" soundtrack last week on her website, https://www.stepheniemeyer.com.

Muse's current album, "THE RESISTANCE" (Warner Bros. Records), debuted at No 1 on the Alternative, Rock, and Internet album charts and earned the band their highest-ever debut on the Billboard 200, bowing at No 3 last year. The first single "Uprising" remained at No 1 for 19 consecutive weeks on Mediabase's Alternative Rock chart - breaking the record for the longest run at No 1 in the history of the chart. Muse also became the first artist ever to have two songs ("Uprising" and "Resistance") in the top 3 on both Mediabase and BDS Alternative Rock charts in the same week. "THE RESISTANCE" became an international smash, landing 20 No 1 debuts around the world, including Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, and the U.K. Muse recently announced their autumn headlining tour in support of "THE RESISTANCE," kicking off September 22nd in San Diego, CA and continuing through November 6th in Cincinnati, OH.

Released in November of 2008, "TWILIGHT - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK" has gone on to sell more than 2.5 million copies in the U.S. alone and 1.4 million internationally. The soundtrack topped the Billboard 200 chart upon its release, marking the largest debut for an Atlantic Records soundtrack since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991. In addition, "THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK" topped the Billboard 200 in its first full week at retail in October of 2009 and has gone on to sell more than 1.1 million copies in the U.S. and nearly 1 million internationally. Both soundtracks have remained on the Billboard 200 since being released.

In THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, directed by David Slade from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg and starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, Bella (Stewart) once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward (Pattinson) and her friendship with Jacob (Lautner) - knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.
