New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Restrung Lefty Music Productions) - Restrung Lefty Music Productions is pleased to announce the release of multi-instrumentalist Tom More's debut album 'Self-Evident Truths.' Two years in the making, this collection of progressive music possesses a strong rock sensibility along with strains of blues and jazz all underpinned by rumbling bass lines and driving rhythms. The song's themes revolve around our 'inalienable rights' of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and our struggle to actualize those in the tumult of modern life. Tom sang all the songs and played all instruments except guitar, calling upon a variety of extremely talented six-stringers from across the country. The result was a diverse sound, feel, and breadth of emotion stretching from heavy, angular riffs to poignant ballads to toe-tapping grooves.

Growing up in the 80's, Tom gravitated towards a number of the heavy progressive bands like Rush, Uriah Heep, and Kansas but was also close to much of the classic prog of the late 70's such as Pink Floyd, Yes, and early Genesis. The hard rock and metal of the era left a strong sense of drive and edge that comes across in much of his work, but he also is unafraid of contrast both within songs and among them. Similar to movements in a classical piece tunes such as 'Heaven Knows,' 'Self-Evident Truths,' and 'Coming Of Age' travel through a range of feels creating a sense of musical journey and diversity that leaves the listener eagerly anticipating the next turn in the road.

What started as an experiment has become a passion and Tom is considering forming a band to play shows in support of the album while continuing work on songs for a follow-up CD and several other projects. He is also investigating label support to increase his reach to fans of progressive music. His synthesis of styles and expressive use of instrumentation creates a melodic and accessible type of prog rock with great crossover appeal topped by insightful lyrics that get the listener thinking.
