New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship) - North Carolina based rock band, stratocruiser, today announced the impending release of its latest collection, "Our New EP," available on iTunes and other digital outlets on July 27, 2010. The songs on the new release run the gamut from the minor chord driven angular pop of "New Glasses," to the crunchy classic sound of "OK Class." Included on the release is the 2009 single, "Kids Hate Rock and Roll," which was chosen as the song of the year for 2009 by Pop Garden Radio, WMEL in Melbourne, FL. Five of these songs were previously available on the extremely limited edition 300 copies of "OK Class, the best of stratocruiser and more," which was released in November of 2009 and has since gone out of print. "We recorded most of these songs for a concept album that was shelved, and released them on the limited edition "best of" cd that we created for attendees of a festival show in the Fall of 2009. We have been writing demos for our next full-length, and wanted to get some music out to let people know what we have been up to for the 2 years since the release of EggShells- so here is "Our New EP," said Clay Howard, stratocruiser singer/guitarist." We have included one finished track from our next cd, Semi-Famous. The song is called "slush," and it represents the direction we are heading as a band."
