NEW YORK (BRMC Fans Website) - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's latest album, Take Them On, On Your Own, makes highest debut on this week's Billboard chart bowing in at No 47 and selling over 20,000 copies, greatly outshining their first week sales of their self-titled debut release. Both the praise by the press as well as the initial push at radio has contributed to their first week success. The current single "Stop" has, in just its initial stages of airplay, far surpassed the total amount of spins on any other BRMC record to date. The band, which was formed in San Francisco in 1998, has also achieved tremendous success overseas with Take Them On, On Your Own debuting at No 3 on the UK album charts. Rave reviews from the press as well as successful Reading and Leeds dates have made the band a household name in Britain. The album was produced by the band and was recorded in a rehearsal studio in London. BRMC is based out of Los Angeles and is currently touring North American. Recently the UK's NME gave the band a 9 out of a possible 10 album review, saying, the album "proves that it is possible to have something to say and make a record that's so exciting, it will suck the air from your lungs. Take Them On, On Your Own is a masterpiece. You should get a hold of it as soon as possible." Domestically, Alternative Press said "On Their second album, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club storm forward like a shoegazing biker gang armed with weapons on mass distortion."
