New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Mongrel Official Website) - Mongrel, the aggressive punk-rock-metal band known as "the hardest working band in Boston" (Metal Edge Magazine) is set to release the first single from their upcoming album "This Means War" on Tuesday, April 13th. "Bored to Death" is the lead off track for the new album and has already been touted in the Philadelphia based Origivation Magazine by Steve Haley (Haley, ex-Trashlight Vision). The new track will be available on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Bored-to-Death-Explicit/dp/B003F91250/ref=dm_ap_alb1) and https://mongrel.bandcamp.com on Tuesday and on I-Tunes worldwide in the near future.

Mongrel's new album "This Means War" was recorded at SFW Studios in Manchester, NH by Tim Koukos (Nuclear Assault, Meliah Rage), mixed at Entrolab Studios in Toms River, NJ by Jeff Wallace (Biohazard, Pro-Pain, End of an Era), and mastered by Beau Hill (Alice Cooper, Bad Brains, Twisted Sister, Murder FM), Mongrel is currently looking for a new label as they parted ways with Screaming Ferret Wreckords this past Fall with the release of their 5 song "Revenge" EP which has garnered airplay on Music Choice, Hard Drive w/ Lou Brutus, and Sirius/XM radio. A video for the track "Butterknife Suicide" was recently released and can be seen at https://vimeo.com/10049231

A new drummer is now being sought as the band has parted ways with their drummer this week. Any interested applicants can contact the band at [email protected] or at https://www.myspace.com/Mongrel
