Danny Chaimson Storms SXSW

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Danny Chaimson - a supremely talented singer and keyboardist who's like a cross between Randy Newman and Dr. John, if they were raised on Snoop Dogg and Native Tongues - will take Austin, TX by storm during SXSW with 5 shows, before returning to his native Chicago for a headlining set at Schubas on March 23.

In Austin, Chaimson will be backed by Orgone, who have performed with Bun B(from UGK), Pharoahe Monch, Little Brother, New Orleans funk legend Eddie Bo, De La Soul, Too Short, Macy Gray among many others, and whose members can be heard on recent major recordings by Alicia Keys, Estelle, Anthony Hamilton, Jennifer Hudson, Solange Knowles and many other R&B/Soul artists.

Chaimson's debut album 'Young Blood, Old Soul, ' out on Cold Classic Records, matches eleven tracks of tight, often irresistibly head-nodding tunes with an acerbic lyrical theme. A Chicago native, Chaimson moved to LA in his early 20s, and returned to his home city not long after completing the record, and several songs chronicle his sardonic take on West Coast life, yet the music is a dose of pure, loose fun.
