LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Kaya Official Website) - The 5-piece band consist of Guitarist Matt, Bassist Tom Y, Drummer Tom H, and vocalists Natty & Aina; a line-up that consistently rocks the crowd with infectious instrumental hooks, catchy vocal melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. Kaya are a fusion of Hip Hop, Soul, Jazz, Ska, Dub and Reggae. All band members individually had accomplished careers as musicians before coming together to form the group, coming from different musical backgrounds; from a UK rapper vocalist, Jazz guitarist to a Metal drummer, all coming together in the form of Kaya to create a new sound for the masses.

The previous musical line-up featuring guitarist Matt, and vocalists Natty and Aina, was voted 'BBC Radio 1's Unsigned Band of The Year', a clear indication of the successful road ahead of them.

Kaya have been a key talked-about band on the UK scene for a while, now bubbling to the surface in the lead up to their forthcoming single release Rat Race.

Taken from the forthcoming album 'Look Beneath The Surface' due out later in the year, Rat Race takes a satirical look at the financial responsibilities we face in modern day life; cheekily poking fun at a frustrating subject to which all of us can relate, and aiming to bring a smile to the face of those who hear it.

Kaya have shared the stage with a whole ream of chart-topping acts such as Sugababes and Ne-Yo and the band's live exploits have seen them perform at the Sony Radio Academy Awards, the BBC 1Xtra tour and international events such as Berlin Fashion Week just to name a few.

With the student consensus of the UK jumping on their debut track like a merry-go-round, Kaya couldn't wish for a better start to 2010; a year that is already showing all the signs of successful future for this determined group.
