New York (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Go here for more information on guest artists, charities and tickets: https://www.carnegiewho.com. The sensational singer/songwriter/guitarist Raul Midon and noir-pop chanteuse Nicole Atkins have been added to the all-star cast of the Tribute to the Music of The Who at Carnegie Hall on March 2, producer Michael Dorf announced today.

The diverse list of artists performing songs from the group's legendary catalog includes Bettye Lavette, Jason Isbell, Bobby McFerrin, Bob Mould (of Husker Du), The Fab Faux, Gaslight Anthem, Matt Nathanson, Sondre Lerche, The Postelles, Warren Haynes of Govt. Mule, Living Colour, Robyn Hitchcock, The Smithereens and Mose Allison (writer of The Who hit "Young Man Blues"). The house band for the evening will be Rich Pagano and the Sugarcane Cups.

Like the previous sold-out tribute concerts at Carnegie Hall, the Who Tribute will include some unusual pairings of artists and songs. Here are just a few:

Gaslight Anthem performing "Baba O'Riley" from 1971's 'Who's Next';

Betty LaVette singing "Love Reign O'er Me" from 1973's 'Quadrophenia';

Robyn Hitchcock's take on "Substitute" from 1971's 'Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy';

Bobby McFerrin applying his unique vocal talents to "My Generation" from 1965.

Impresario Michael Dorf, founder of the Knitting Factory and City Winery, has previously staged all-star tribute shows at Carnegie Hall to Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, R.E.M., Elton John and Bruce Springsteen. As in the past, all profits go to raise critically needed funds for music education charities that serve disadvantaged New York City schoolchildren.
