New York (Top40 Charts/ TicketLiquidator) - TicketLiquidator, the leading provider of the world's most extensive ticket inventory of hard-to-find, low-priced tickets, now offers Muse tickets to their upcoming US tour in support of their recently released album "The Resistance." The Muse Tour will kick off with
Silversun Pickups (tickets) at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA in late February 2010 with over twenty tour dates extended throughout mid April.
The British alternative rock band Muse formed when fellow peers of Teignmouth Community College in Devon, England gathered in 1994. After winning a battle of the bands contest, lead vocalist and guitarist Matthew Bellamy, bassist Chris Wolstenholme and drummer Dominic Howard dropped out of school to pursue the band full time. It wasn't until the band began performing in Manchester, London and New York City that they would be signed by Maverick Records in America.
Since then, the band has released five studio albums, four of which have reached the top three spots on UK charts. To date, Muse has received sixty-four nominations with twenty-seven wins ranging from the Brit Awards Best Live Act (2005, 2007) to the MTV Europe Music Awards Best Alternative Act (2006).
Muse has performed with U2 (tickets) on their 360 tour, Red Hot Chili Peppers (tickets) and the Foo Fighters (tickets). They have shared the stage with Paul McCartney (tickets), Oasis and Franz Ferdinand (tickets) at the Glastonbury Festival (tickets). The band cites Brian May of Queen, Jimi Hendrix and Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine (tickets) as influences.
Muse's sound is characterized by Bellamy's passionate use of falsetto and Wolstenholme's electric sound created by use of the arpeggio method. According to the Alternative Press, Muse's most recent release is "A massive concept album that is so gluttonously huge-sounding that it makes 'The Wall' sound like a Sebadoh record."
"Muse is known for their extreme performances," stated Alexandra Owens, Media Relations for TicketLiquidator. "With the release of their most epic and orchestrated album to date, fans can expect an extraordinary show."
Known for incorporating pyrotechnics and projection screens into highly animated performances, fans can expect to see concerts selling out quickly this winter making Muse tickets the TicketLiquidator Ticket of the Week.
